A, who claims to be a former employee of Gold Medalist, left a comment under a YouTube video last year stating, “4 years ago, I worked at Gold Medalist but was fired after leaking crucial information about Seo Ye-ji to journalists of two media outlets. However, the journalists never used that information because Lee Sa-rang (Kim Soo-hyun’s cousin and founder of Gold Medalist) ordered them not to, fearing it would damage the company’s reputation.”
A also claimed, “Kim Soo-hyun and his cousin Lee Sa-rang were involved in numerous issues, but Seo Ye-ji was used as a shield. Some of the negative allegations against her actually originated from within the company itself.“
A went on to allege: Seo Ye-ji was forced to lie, with people paid to spread false narratives about her; Claims that she was rude to the staff were fabricated by the agency, which paid individuals to spread the rumors; A specific Gold Medalist employee fabricated the school bullying rumors against Seo Ye-ji, under direct orders from Lee Sa-rang, who then fed these false claims to journalists.
In a shocking turn, A brought up Kim Sae-ron, stating, “Kim Sae-ron knows the truth. I want to send a message to her parents: Look for her pink-covered diary. It contains more truths about what really happened between her and Kim Soo-hyun.“
A concluded with a cryptic remark, “To Kim Sae-ron’s family, I want to assure you not to worry. Gold Medalist will eventually expose themselves without even realizing it.”
The post was written before Kim Sae-ron’s passing, making it the first known external mention of her diary. According to Kim Sae-ron’s family, she regularly kept a diary, and its cover was indeed pink, just as A described.
Seo Ye-ji signed an exclusive contract with Gold Medalist in 2019 but later became embroiled in controversy over allegations of gaslighting actor Kim Jung-hyun. After facing public backlash, she parted ways with the agency in November 2023 and is now under Sublime.
Recently, rumors linked Seo Ye-ji to Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron’s alleged underage relationship, fueling speculation that she played a role in their breakup.
On March 13, Seo Ye-ji personally denied these claims in her fancafe, stating, “I have nothing to do with him (Kim Soo-hyun) or his brother (Lee Sa-rang). I don’t even understand why I have to clarify this.“
